Commons Lab has a home!
Together with architects/researchers Melissa Harisson and Conrad Kürzdörfer, and artist Felipe Castelblanco, we have shaped a growing collective that will run a first beta-version of a local neighbourhood laboratory around commoning (Commons Lab Berlin) in Berlin-Neukölln and we’ve now found a home for it! We will join forces with the interdisciplinary project space TOP Schillerpalais close to Tempelhofer Feld. At the end of 2017, we are planning to start our activities.
Commons Lab Berlin aims at providing a platform for citizens to explore the urban commons and commoning practices through research, practice and experimentation. Its mission is to foster more communal and holistically sustainable ways of living and working which acknowledges our mutual dependencies and relationships with each other and ‘more-than-human’ others. This will be done in a collaborative approach involving diverse people, materials, and knowledges so that running the lab becomes a commoning practice in itself which can be taken beyond the local.
Stay tuned for more news – we are excited to get started!
